What is it? Votary Super Seed Serum is a lotion-y hydrating peptide serum designed to reduce redness while soothing and softening skin.

Notes from the Curator: This is a very versatile water-based emulsion that contains both hydric and lipid components. People with dry skin will enjoy it under an oil as a hydrating base and those with oilier skin will love it as a light moisturizer over serums. It contains no essential oils.

Let’s get Nerdy: Votary Super Seed serum contains Carnosine which is a dipeptide made of two amino acids – beta-alanine & histidine. Carnosine is a water soluble peptide that has both antioxidant & wound healing properties & works to scavenge free radicals, specifically reactive oxygen species. Carnosine also has antiglycation properties & works against infrared induced damages.

About the Brand
Votary, a British brand, was founded by Arabella Preston and Charlotte Semler. Arabella is a former beauty editor & a makeup artist (whose clients include Kate Middleton & Stella McCartney), who used to blend pure plant oils for years for both herself & her clients. On a lunch with friends, when entrepreneur, friend & former boss Charlotte realized that Arabella blended her own oils to cleanse & moisturize her skin as well as her clients’ skin, she decided to team up with her to bring these gorgeous plant oil based formulations to the world. And so Votary was born.
How to Use
Take one pump of Super Seed Serum and press into skin until fully absorbed. Use morning and night after cleansing and before applying your facial oil or Moisturizer.
