What is it? Flora is a lightweight creamy serum or serum-like emulsion, more lightweight than a cream and creamier than a serum.

Notes from the Curator: Made in a base of Aloe Vera, Flora is a gorgeous moisturizer that is surprisingly nourishing and smells incredible. It brightens (thanks to skin nourishing acids like ximenynic acid, ellagic acid, hyaluronic acid, and phytosterols) and hydrates the skin – probably one of my favorite products from this incredible line.

Let’s get Nerdy: Flora is a blend of luxurious oils rich in ellagic acid. Ellagic acid works to reduce the breakdown of collagen and protects from ultraviolet light. It’s packed with phytosterols, which reduce trans-epidermal water loss, and work to helping to keep skin moisturized.

Key Ingredients:

RASPBERRY SEED OIL – This seed oil is a powerhouse antioxidant. Full of Alpha-linolenic acid (the highest of any fruit seed oil) provides anti-inflammatory benefits. Naturally absorbs UVB and UVC to provide protection from UVA rays.

CLARY SAGE – Regulates sebum production, tones the skin by acting as a mild astringent and reduces inflammation associated with acne.

LAVENDER – Provides antiseptic and anti inflammatory properties which can help heal minor burns and bug bites. Can provide astringent properties to the skin.

About the Brand
Monastery was founded by Athena Hewett. Athena has been a certified esthetician now for 20 years, starting her own skincare studio in San Francisco in 2011. Alongside her practice she introduced a skincare line inspired by her childhood summers in the Greek Cyclades, where her grandparents lived & owned an olive grove. Throughout her childhood, Athena learned from her grandmother & her mother, practices of picking & pressing local herbs & turning nuts into oils. Athena combines her love and understanding of plant-based potions, so ingrained in her upbringing, with her training & practice as an esthetician as well as her meticulous attention to sourcing high quality ingredients, to create her beautiful products for Monastery.
How to Use
Shake well. Apply 1 – 2 pumps to the face and décolleté. Use as a moisturizer.
